April Frank

President

April Frank is a facilitator, consultant and executive coach who works with leaders and their teams to create increased coherence and improve individual and organizational performance.  Through behavioral coaching she assists leaders to influence more effectively and create greater value.  Through strategic planning facilitation she assists leadership teams to identify and align purpose, vision, mission, values and strategy.  For over 20 years she has worked with diverse types of organizations in the private and public sector including manufacturing, service, technology, health care, government and education with proven results of improved leadership effectiveness and increased productivity.

April and her team created the comprehensive development program for leaders: “Emotional Intelligence – The Differentiating Competence in Leadership Effectiveness”, that provides skill and competency building in emotional and social intelligence applied to performance improvement.  Measurable results are achieved through individualized assessment, behavioral goal setting, 1-on-1 coaching and interactive experiential group learning.

April’s approach is practical, goal-focused application to assist clients to integrate what they learn for real-world benefit and results. April’s passion is to make a difference – for individuals and organizations to experience improvement in their identified key measures.

April’s presentations are enthusiastically received and consistently result in participants asking for more. She brings a dynamic authenticity to business development through people development, which has been described as “the missing piece” and “engaging, inspirational, supportive and results-oriented.” She is known for her sincere and engaging style, depth of perception, attention to detail and focus on results. Individual participants and sponsoring organizations consistently evaluate April’s presentations and workshops as “Excellent”.

Prior to founding Innovative Edge, Inc. in 1995, April held management, leadership and training and development positions in fast-growth, high-tech organizations after beginning her career as a paralegal.  She then founded and was CEO of a manufacturing company which was recognized as the leader in two of its markets.  Ignited by her own work with an executive coach and passionate about sharing her experiences and knowledge in transforming setbacks and enhancing personal and organizational performance, she founded Innovative Edge, Inc.

April is accredited by Hay/McBer – Hay Group, Inc. (Korn Ferry) to administer the Emotional and Social Competence Inventory Assessment (ESCI), and licensed and certified as a master trainer by the Institute of HeartMath to present the Inner Quality Management® and The Resilience Advantage™ tools and training programs.

Byron Stock, a compelling speaker and magnetic seminar leader, is an expert in teaching Emotional Intelligence skills and helping clients achieve immediate, significant, and sustainable improvements in leadership excellence, personal productivity, mental clarity, resiliency and health. With over 30 years’ experience in business, Byron guides organizations toward excellence by helping their people learn to use Emotional Intelligence as a strategic tool to achieve goals, lead change more effectively, and improve company culture. Byron’s experience includes successful design and development of customized performance focused programs and needs analysis for companies in all business, government and educational sectors.

With an MBA in Business from Xavier University, a BS in Engineering from Purdue University, and business experience in manufacturing engineering, human resources, research and engineering, and corporate education functions, Byron works easily with a variety of industries and organizations. JOANNE REID

Sr. Consultant

Joanne Reid has a varied background in management, consulting and post-secondary education. Her management consulting focuses on strategy implementation, organizational effectiveness and leadership, resiliency, and team development.  Assisting teams to develop and sustain individual and team agility has been a core component of her work.

She has been a consultant in business transformation for over 20 years to public and private sector organizations in North America, the Middle East, Europe, and China in financial services, health care and education, high technology organizations, and various government ministries and agencies. She has held leadership positions in the financial services industry, primarily in Human Resources and Organizational Development.

Joanne served on and chaired the Board of Vanier Children’s Services, and has served on the executive of Strategic Capability Network.  Joanne holds a Master’s degree in Management Science from the University of Waterloo, and has taught and designed courses in the university and college systems.  She is a Certified Management Consultant, and a member of HBR’s Advisory Council, and is certified as a master trainer by the Institute of HeartMath to present the Inner Quality Management® and The Resilience Advantage™ tools and training programs.

Phil Centonze, works with companies across all sectors and industries in manufacturing, government, service, and not-for-profits to build teams, improve competitiveness, profitability, and the way they do business. He focuses on strategically oriented performance improvement of organizations through implementation of proven methods in strategic planning, process management, and workforce development.

As the Founder of POS-IMPACT he teaches and implements best business practices to teams of managers and employees of companies of all sizes. He has over 25 years of experience advising and guiding company senior leaders in organizational performance improvement through Florida Sterling/Baldridge-based evaluation, strategic planning, lean and Six Sigma process management, and team building.

With Florida Sterling Council, Phil is Lead Judge for the Governors Sterling Award and is a 17-year Master Examiner and Baldrige examiner. He has extensive experience in Baldrige-based management systems and assessment, as well as Lean Six Sigma Process Management improvement initiatives. 

Phil has a BS degree in engineering from the U. S. Coast Guard Academy, and an MBA from Florida International University in Miami. Phil leads the Florida Sterling Council Panel of Judges and is a past 17-year Master Examiner, as well as a Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and a Certified Quality Auditor (CQA).

 

John J. Murphy, specializes in leadership development, operational excellence, culture change and high-performance teamwork.  He is the founder (1988) and CEO of Venture Management Consultants, Inc., a firm specializing in cultivating high-performance team cultures. John has delivered services to some of the world’s leading organizations, including ADP, BMW, Chase, the CIA, GE, GM, GSK, Hilton, Merck, the Michigan State Senate, Perrigo, Prudential, Raytheon, Spectrum Health, and the US Navy. He has trained thousands of people from over 50 countries, including Fortune 500 executives, project leaders, military leaders, managers, and black belts. He has also mentored dozens of project teams in Organizational Development, Operational Excellence, Business Process Innovation and Lean Six Sigma applications.

As a speaker and award-winning author, John has delivered keynotes and seminars throughout North America, South America, Europe, and Asia, and he has appeared on over 500 radio, television and podcast interviews.

Prior to consulting, John served as corporate director of human resources for Paulstra CRC, an international automotive division of Hutchinson SA in Paris, France.  In this role, John led numerous Operational Excellence projects, resulting in multi-million-dollar improvements and significant culture change.  John is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame (BBA Finance) and the University of Michigan’s Human Resource Executive Program. He is also a former quarterback for Notre Dame.
